larger than a movie

saw eat, prey, love, the movie….
i realized i’d better off reading the book as elizabeth gilbert seems to have much more to say than it can be said in a movie. the movie was a good time passer, lots of beautiful scenes and positive ideas, and of course is recommended however i think i really do need to read the book.
liz’s second book “committed”, which seems to be a sequel to her eat prey love will be released on february 1st. probably gonna buy both.
if you could clear out all that space in your mind, you’d have a vacuum with a doorway. and you know what the universe would do with that? rush in. everything else will take care of itself.
in the end, i’ve come to believe in something i call “the physics of the quest.” a force in nature governed by laws as real as the laws of gravity. the rule of quest physics goes something like this: if you’re brave enough to leave behind everything familiar and comforting, which can be anything from your house to bitter, old resentments, and set out on a truth-seeking journey, either externally or internally, and if you are truly willing to regard everything that happens to you on that journey as a clue and if you accept everyone you meet along the way as a teacher and if you are prepared, most of all, to face and forgive some very difficult realities about yourself, then the truth will not be withheld from you.
